NO LEAD BRASS & GALVANIZED FITTINGS
FOR THE CITY OF ASHEVILLE
Pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes 143-129 sealed bids for No Lead Brass and
Galvanized Fittings for the City of Asheville will be received by Fahad Yoosuf, Purchasing
Coordinator, at 70 Court Plaza, Asheville, NC until 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2025 , at
which time they will be publicly opened and read. Questions are due by 3:00 p.m., Wednesday,
April 8, 2026 . The public may attend the bid opening in person at Asheville City Hall, Room
100C, or via a Google Meet Link that can be found on our bid page.
Proposal forms, instructions, and specifications may be obtained at
http://www.ashevillenc.gov/bids or the Purchasing Office Mon day through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00
p.m. Phone (828) 259-5950 . If bid addenda are issued, they will be posted to this website no
less than seven (7) days prior to the bid opening date. Each addendum will be identified by
number. Bidders are urged to check this page prior to submitting a bid response to ensure that
they have obtained all addenda that may have been issued for the bid package in question. Bid
addenda should be acknowledged (signed) and included with the bid response. Bid responses
submitted without acknowledged addenda may be rejected.
The City of Asheville has adopted the Asheville Business Inclusion Policy to encourage women
and minority businesses' participation in the public bidding process. The purpose of this outreach
effort is to increase the likelihood of availability and utilization of MWBEs in the award of
contracts. Bidders are hereby notified that this bid is subject to that Policy's provisions. Questions

Bidders are invited to show proof of MWBE status, to include NC Office of Historically
Underutilized Businesses or other MWBE certifications. If not already certified with the ABI Office
at the City of Asheville, bidders are further invited to become certified with the City of Asheville as
an MWBE vendor. Please use this link: ABI Certifications It is the Policy of the City to (1)
provide minorities and women an equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of its contracting
and procurement programs and (2) to prohibit any and all discrimination against persons or
businesses in pursuit of these opportunities.
Bidders are notified of a City policy that prohibits contracting with persons or firms who are
delinquent in the payment of ad valorem taxes owed to the City of Asheville.
The City of Asheville reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
