Long Term Dry Storage for Three (3) ex-U.S. Coast Guard 110-ft Vessels

Purpose: The Coast Guard is issuing this sources sought notice for market research purposes to identify capability vendors who can accomplish the following:

1) Tow, or make arrangements to tow, three 110-ft vessels from USCG Yard Baltimore MD to the storage location within 150 miles.

2) Hauled or lift each vessel (130 LT) on their included cradles and move to a long-term storage location.

3) Wrap each vessel (shrink wrapped)

4) Store vessels in a secured area- must be behind lockable fence with video security system.

5) Storage period to start approximately March 2025

6) Length of storage is unknown. Estimating one-year increments.

7) Storage area must be accessible by the USCG and vessel crew during working hours.

The Government reserves the right to use any information provided by respondents for any purpose determined necessary and legally appropriate, including using technical information provided by respondents in any resultant solicitation.

This sources sought is not a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this request is purely voluntary; the Government will not pay for any costs incurred nor is obligated to respond. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.

After reviewing responses, and if the USCG still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement may be published on the Contract Opportunities (formerly FedBizOpps) website or distributed to contract holders if a strategically-sourced vehicle is deemed appropriate. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the Contract Opportunities website.

Failure to respond or submit sufficiently detailed information may result in a company not being considered a likely offeror when making a decision on whether or how to set aside a solicitation for restricted competition. Regardless of the information submitted, the Government reserves the right to consider any arrangement as determined appropriate for this requirement.
