SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL SERVICES

Project Description: The Township of Abington is seeking a qualified Contractor by way of competitive bidding to provide all facilities, equipment, labor and services required to provide Bid 1: Direct-Haul Disposal or Bid 2: Disposal Services from Transfer Station. ALL BID documents are available at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/ and MUST be submitted electronically via PennBid.
Each bidder must submit a bid incorporating a price structure based on a per-ton cost for the services requested for the period from October 31, 2025 and extending for five (5) years and two (2) months, with the contract term ending on December 31, 2030, with a three (3) year optional extension, in accordance with the bid documents and the subsequent award of a Contract by the Township of Abington.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 8, 2025, at 995 Fitzwatertown Road, Abington, PA 19001. The meeting is mandatory for any respondent that will be submitting a bid for Bid 2: Disposal Services from Transfer Station. It is not mandatory for respondents only bidding on Bid 1: Direct-Haul Disposal Services.
All bids must be submitted electronically via PennBid in accordance with the bid documents by July 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., prevailing time at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/.
A performance bond shall be submitted by each successful Respondent within twenty (20) days after a Contract is awarded for direct-haul disposal services, in the amount of 50% of the price bid by the successful Respondent based upon the 2024 tonnage of the municipality and the five-(5) year period.
