The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will be soliciting an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for “ Therma and A&F Property Restoration” (Project).
Notice is hereby given that VTA is now soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from bidders (Bidders) with construction expertise to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and incidentals necessary to construct onsite and offsite improvements to restore property for the relocation of utilities and to facilitate improvements included in the Temporary Construction Easement (TCE) for the BART Extension Project Phase II (BSVII).
This Request for Pre-Qualification of Bidders is intended to solicit information in the form of a qualification questionnaire and qualification statements. All Bidders that intend to submit a bid for the Project must fully complete the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire, provide all materials requested herein, and be approved by VTA in order to be included on the final qualified Bidders list. No bid will be accepted from a Bidder that has failed to comply with these requirements. If two or more contractors submit a SOQ as part of a Joint Venture, or expect to submit a SOQ as part of a Joint Venture, each entity within the Joint Venture must be separately pre-qualified.
The BSVII - Therma and A&F Property Restoration Project will provide support to the BART Phase II (BSVII) project. As part of BSVII, this Project will construct on-site and off-site improvements to rehabilitate the property for utility relocation and construction staging. A paved storage area will be constructed on the A&F (Slackey Brothers) property at 1480 Nicora Avenue, San Jose, CA; a parking lot will be constructed on the Therma property at 1551-1601 Las Plumas Avenue, San Jose, CA, and streetlights will be placed along the frontage of the property in the City of San Jose right-of-way.
