Professional planning services to the County for the creation of the Comprehensive Plan

Coffey County, Kansas, is requesting proposals from qualified consulting firms with experience in community development, land use planning, long-range planning, GIS mapping, sustainability, demographic and economic analysis, and citizen outreach to provide professional planning services to the County for the creation of the Comprehensive Plan ("Coffey County Vision 2026").

Coffey County, Kansas, is seeking a consulting team to create the Comprehensive Plan's contents and update the maps, supporting data, technical components, and visual quality. The data should reflect existing conditions, future trends, and the desired community vision and establish specific, feasible actions and policies.

The County Planning and Zoning Department will administer the contract, which will advise and assist the Planning Board, Board of County Commissioners, and stakeholders. Creating a Comprehensive Plan is a collaborative process involving the governing body, county staff, consultant team, and the community. This project aims to develop a plan that reflects the residents' needs, desires, and vision of its future and to provide measures to reach these goals. This plan will serve as a framework for Coffey County's future and guide the county's day-to-day decision-making process.
