Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE
The US Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), California - Great Basin Region, intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with KTR Corporation to troubleshoot the elevator brake system located at Northern California Area Office (NCAO) Shasta Dam under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This requirement includes troubleshooting, repairing, and a full commissioning of the elevator brake system to ensure compliance with applicable safety codes and manufacturer specifications. A sole source justification has been prepared in support of this acquisition.
Tasks anticipated to be completed but not be limited to the following:
1. Perform a detailed inspection and diagnostic evaluation of the elevator brake system.
2. Identify root causes of performance issues and faults by checking:
- KTR Emergency Brake Oil Temp Fault
- KTR Brake Oil Temp Fault
- KTR Brake Pressure Switch Fault
3. Adjust all air gaps
4. Remove any air from the brake system
5. Set up the hydraulic unit to perform according to the design specifications
6. Adjust and calibrate the brake system to meet manufacturer and code requirements.
7. Conduct functional testing and commissioning of the brake system.
8. Provide documentation of all work performed, including test results and compliance certifications.
The subsequent deliverables are to be provided:
1. Initial diagnostic report with findings and recommended corrective actions.
2. Repair and commissioning plan.
3. Final test and inspection report.
4. Certification of compliance with applicable codes and standards.
5. Warranty documentation for parts and labor.
Firms believing they can provide the services above must submit email notice to the Contract Specialist and must provide evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirement. This is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is the only official pre-solicitation notice of this requirement. The solicitation number is #140R2026Q0001.
Responses must include:
1) Company name, address, CAGE code, UEI, and point of contact.
2) Identify business size in accordance with NAICS code 541350 (Building Inspection Services) with size standard $11.5 Million. Firms shall identify their business size (small, other than small, etc.) in accordance with the size standard $11.5 Million. This notice is the only official pre-solicitation notice of this requirement.
3) Information that would demonstrate your company's ability to satisfy this requirement.
