Overview
Summary

The City of Hialeah Parks & Community Engagement Department is seeking quotes for a turnkey replacement of the pool heating system at Babcock Pool. The work includes removing and disposing of five existing heater units and furnishing and installing five (5) new commercial electrical heat pump units (Gulfstream HE-150RA or equivalent, approximately 140,000 BTU each). The selected contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals to deliver a complete installation, including re-plumbing of the commercial manifold with appropriate valves, all required electrical tie-ins and upgrades, equipment pad installation or replacement if needed, safe removal/disposal of existing equipment, and final start-up, testing, and commissioning of a fully operational system. Proposals must be itemized and include warranty terms; no City-performed work is anticipated.

Background

Babcock Pool is a year-round public facility. The existing five-unit heating array has reached the end of its useful life and requires full replacement to restore reliability, efficiency, and program continuity. Under this turnkey contract, the vendor is responsible for every aspect of the installation from removal through commissioning, including all plumbing and electrical work necessary to achieve a complete, code-compliant, and dependable system. Warranty coverage in proposals should meet or exceed 2 years labor, 7 years parts, and 10 years on the heat exchanger, with extended labor coverage preferred.
