    DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    Preliminary Survey / Information Collection / Prioritization Plan

    1. Gather and review all existing information from the City of Marion and other resources regarding the following:
      • Existing Community-wide Wayfinding Plan
      • Utility maps: location, depth, and size information
      • Existing digital mapping
      • Available GIS based information
      • Parcel easements and right-of-way plats
      • City staff input
    2. Obtain required access from property owners to perform proposed engineering services.
    3. Perform sufficient field survey to determine location, elevation, configurations, sizes or any other pertinent data of existing features within the project area in sufficient detail as necessary to prepare the construction plans.
    4. Evaluate information and confirm type, size and location of existing facilities, structures, and utilities.
    5. Perform appropriate structural and electrical engineering design of monument signs and pole mounted signs to ensure installation is practical.
    6. Perform, as required, stakeholder meetings to gather stakeholder input and disseminate appropriate information.
