Description
The City of Prince Rupert (the City) is seeking proposals from qualified proponents (the Proponents) in response to this request for proposals (the RFP) for the provision of the Services to be carried out within the schedule provided by the Contractor to the City,and accepted by the City, pursuant to the Agreement, and if applicable, the performance of the Work, to be carried out in accordance with the Construction Contract, for the conversion of a former fuel storage to a wastewater treatment plant (the Project).
The City of Prince Rupert has been developing a comprehensive, city-wide wastewater solution to eliminate raw sewage discharge to Prince Rupert Harbour. This effort is part of the liquid waste management plan (LWMP) development for the City, under the direction of the British Columbia Ministry of Environment and Parks (MOE). The Moresby MAGNA Biofilter Wetland System (MBWS™) Wastewater Facility is intended to validate the nature-based treatment technology for future application across other catchments of Prince Rupert’s municipal sewer discharges.
