Request for Proposals – Fire Department Training Facility

The City of Effingham seeks proposals from qualified firms to design, fabricate, and

install a new fire training facility on a City-owned 2-acre site. The facility must comply

with NFPA 1402 and NFPA 1403 standards for live-fire training and be capable of

supporting Class A live-fire evolutions.

Specifications for the facility to be designed and constructed may be obtained from

Fire Chief Brant Yochum at Effingham Central Fire Station (505 W. Fayette Avenue), by

calling 217-342-2555, or by emailing byochum@effinghamil.com.

The deadline for submission of a sealed proposal is Friday, January 16th, 2026, at

3:00 p.m., in-person, via U.S. Mail, or courier, to:

Proposals shall be opened in the Office of the City Clerk on the date and time at

which they are due. The public are invited to attend.

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submissions. The City
