1.0 SCOPE
This specification describes police motorcycle intended for daily patrol use in the enforcement
of City, State, and Federal laws. Components shall be heavy-duty and selected to maximize
performance, service life, and safety under demanding operating conditions.
2.0 APPLICABLE SPECIFICATIONS:
All motorcycles must comply with current applicable Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
specifications and federal regulations for police use motorcycles.
3.0 EXCEPTIONS or DEVIATIONS:
No exceptions to or deviations from these specifications will be considered unless specifically
noted and justified in the bidder's proposal.
4.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Motorcycles shall be new, current model year production 2026 BMW R 1300 RT-P Motorcycles
and include all standard and specified equipment as described.

8.0 GUARANTEE:
Manufacturer guarantees that delivered motorcycles will meet or exceed all specifications or
they must remedy at their cost.
9.0 DELIVERY:
Delivery will be made to: City of Foster City, Fleet Division, 100 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City,
CA 94404. Motorcycles must be fully inspected, serviced, and include all documentation.
Minimum fuel level at delivery: 1/4 tank.
10.0 TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
One (1) Service Manual and one (1) Electrical Wiring Diagram Manual shall be provided at
delivery.
11.0 REPAIR PARTS:
Dealer must ensure timely availability of repair parts. Non-stocked parts must be shipped by air
at the dealer's expense if not available within 2 business days.
12.0 DEALER NETWORK:
Authorized service facilities must be located within 35 miles of Foster City. A list of certified
service providers will be required from the successful bidder.
