Description
This Negotiated Request for Proposals (“NRFP”) invites interested suppliers to submit Proposals to enter into a Contract with the Province for the construction of a new precast concrete building at 2783 Airport Way, Revelstoke BC V0E 2S3 (the “Project”). This Project involves constructing a two-story structure with a total surface area of 1,545 m² (16,630 ft²), designed to accommodate BC Wildfire personnel.
The Ministry has an existing project plan intended for conventional wood and steel frame construction. This project plan is provided in this NRFP for informational purposes only. The Contractor is expected to utilize this existing plan as the basis for planning and design of an alternative precast concrete building system with similar layout, amenities and finishing, with offsite manufacturing and erection of prefabricated components for the new building. The Ministry will provide an engineering consultant team to assist the Contractor for design approval, guidance and support as needed throughout the project lifecycle. The construction process will be overseen by the Ministry’s designated Construction Manager.
Proponents will be required to attend a site visit. Attendance at the site visit is a Mandatory Requirement. Proposals will only be accepted from Proponents who attend the scheduled site visit.
