MN ZOO Manhole Enlargement and Gate Valve Replacement Project 2025

The MN ZOO has a 4-foot diameter 8-foot-deep Manhole that needs to be replaced with a 6-foot diameter Manhole. This is located on the MN ZOO property on the top of a hill along a fence line and right behind the SES School and about 80 feet back. This Project will need to take place in the spring and will require a Vac Truck for excavation and the Fence will be temporarily removed for the project and replaced upon completion by others. The second part of this project is to close a 10-inch gate valve that shuts down the water main that isolates the PRV Valves located within the manhole and verify that it does work and if it does not hold the valve will also need to be replaced and this will include asphalt work.
