Permit Required Confined Space Training Services
1. Purpose & Scope
The City of Urbandale is seeking proposals from qualified safety consulting or technical
training firms to deliver onsite, OSHA-compliant safety training and certification for
Permit Required Confined Space.
2. Training Requirements
* Location: Onsite at our facility: Urbandale, Iowa.
* Audience: Approximately 75-100 staff.
* Core Curriculum:
Classroom instruction (regulatory overview, hazard recognition and
o
evaluation, roles and responsibilities, and permit documentation).
Hands-on practical evaluation using trainer provided equipment or our
o
onsite equipment.
3. Proposal Submission Requirements
Interested firms should provide:
* Program Syllabus: A summary of the course curriculum and the estimated duration
per session.
* All-Inclusive Pricing: Total cost structure broken down by flat daily rates, per-
student fees, and any applicable travel expenses.
* Scheduling Availability: Training dates that are available in March 2027.
4. Timeline
* RFP Issue Date: September 28, 2026
* Proposal Submission Deadline: November 1, 2026, by 5:00 PM CST
* Target Training Execution: March 2027
