Water Resources Chemicals - Defoamer
Due to the sensitivity needs for defoamer, the City of Lynchburg intends to award
Coastal Water Technology, LLC, 854 Knoll Drive, Little River, South Carolina,
29566 the sole source contract for the purchase of SC-3000 defoamer. This is a
specially formulated chemical which has proven effective when the wastewater
treatment plant has had a foam problem. Other comparable chemicals have been
tested in the past and have caused compounding issues. The estimated annual
expenditure is $20,000.00 at an initial cost of $.81/lb.
