ATMOSPHERE GLOVE BOXES
Tennessee Tech requests quotations for the furnishing, delivery, installation, start-up, and training
for two (2) free-standing, stainless steel inert atmosphere glove box systems utilizing argon gas and
meeting the minimum specifications described herein.
Tennessee Tech intends to utilize a cooperative purchasing agreement in accordance with State of
Tennessee procurement guidelines. References to specific manufacturers or models are intended
to establish performance standards only and do not restrict bidders. Equivalent products from
other manufacturers will be considered.

atmosphere glove box systems utilizing argon gas.

5 Doing Business with Tennessee Tech
5.1 Communications
All communication regarding this RFQ must be submitted by email only to the RFQ
Coordinator, who is Tennessee Tech’s only official point of contact for this RFQ.
Unauthorized contact with any other Tennessee Tech employees or officials regarding
this RFQ may result in disqualification from the procurement process.
5.2 Supplier Registration

5.3 Bid Submission Requirements
Bids must be received by the Purchasing & Contracts Office by the date and time
listed on page 1.
Bids may only be delivered by one of the following methods:
o Email to the RFQ Coordinator at jscarlett@tntech.edu
o Mail to Tennessee Tech University, POB 5144, Cookeville, TN 38505
Bid is subject to the RFQ – Standard Terms and Conditions found at:
http://www.tntech.edu/purchasing/pdf/RFQ_Std_Terms_and_Conditions_rev_6-26-
24.pdf . By submitting a bid, Bidder certifies its agreement to these terms and
conditions.
Bidders shall complete and submit the Cost Proposal Sheet (Attachment A) provided
with this RFQ.
o All pricing must be entered into the format provided.

o Pricing shall include all costs necessary to furnish, install, implement, train,
support, and maintain the proposed solution in accordance with the requirement
of this RFQ.
o Any costs not specifically identified on the Cost Proposal Sheet shall be clearly
itemized and submitted as a separate attachment.
o Tennessee Tech is tax-exempt; freight and installation estimates must be included
on the Cost Proposal Sheet.
o Cost Proposal Sheet must be signed by Bidder confirming that all prices meet the
minimum qualifications
o Failure to complete the Cost Proposal Sheet in its entirety may result in the
proposal being considered non-responsive.
5.4 Evaluation Methodology & Results
Award will be made to the responsive and responsible Bidder offering the lowest Total
Cost that meets all RFQ requirements.
Tennessee Tech reserves the right to further clarify or negotiate with the best-
evaluated Bidder after the award recommendation but prior to the contract execution
as deemed necessary by the university.
Tennessee Tech reserves the right to initiate negotiations with the next ranked Bidder
should the Bidder selected fail to provide a product with the minimum requirements
above.
Tennessee Tech reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids in
accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
