Bus Frame and Accident Repair

The JTA requires bus frame and accident repair work identified for specific bus rolling stock over the period of performance. In the daily operation of providing bus transportation in the Northeast Florida region, vehicular incidents may occur whereby bus rolling stock may incur damage to the bus frame or other areas of the bus. While the JTA strives to limit these occurrences, there remains a need to repair bus rolling stock when these incidents occur.

The selected Proposer will provide major frame work and body repair, for Jacksonville Transportation Authority ("JTA") as needed. The JTA anticipates the Proposer to be fully responsible for the sourcing, repair and delivery of the bus frame and accident repair work. It is preferred that the Proposer is a Gillig authorized repair shop and utilize original equipment manufacturer (OEM) materials or equal approved substitutes by the JTA. The work shall be performed at the Proposer’s shop unless otherwise agreed to, in writing, by the JTA.
