Description


The Georgia Department of Transportation (hereinafter, Department or "GDOT") is conducting this electronic Request for Quotes ("eRFQ") under its authority to procure services ancillary to the construction and maintenance of a public road, as defined in O.C.G.A 32-1-3, as provided for in O.C.G.A 32-2-64 and 32-2-69 to establish a contract with a qualified supplier(s) who will provide Highway Mowing and Maintenance services as further described in this eRFQ.

The Contractor shall perform regularly scheduled Highway Mowing and Maintenance Services (collectively, the ¿Services¿ or ¿Work¿) as scheduled by the Department throughout the year on an annual or as needed basis. The services will include furnishing all labor, material, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform mowing complete, and additional litter removal within the limits of the right of way and easement areas of the interstate and limited access routes, 4 lane divided highways, 4 lane and 2 lane routes, in a safe, effective, and timely manner, as detailed herein. Attachment 1 provides locations and an estimated amount of Centerline Miles for required activities for each cycle. The Contractor will also be responsible for any traffic control, licenses, and permits required to satisfy the duties required herein.

The Contractor shall be fully and totally responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all work performed under the contract and shall save the State harmless and shall be fully liable for any additional costs and all claims against the State which may arise due to errors, omissions and negligence of the Contractor or its subcontractors in performing the work.

All work by any Contractor shall be performed in a manner satisfactory to the State and in accordance with the established customs, practices, and procedures of GDOT in conformity with the standards adopted by the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials and approved by the U.S. Secretary of Transporta
