Under MGL 30, 39M, The Town of Agawam, Chief Procurement Officer, on behalf of the Park & Recreation Department hereby invites sealed bids from qualified contractors for the following:
“Project Title: Still Brook Park Playground Equipment Installation”
The project scope consists of Installation and Assembly of Playground Equipment purchased by the Owner from the manufacturer and preparation of the site for poured in place rubber surfacing. Installation to be done at Still Brook Park located on Pine Street in the Town of Agawam, Massachusetts per the manufacturers installation instructions and specifications provided.

Sealed Bids shall be received from eligible bidders by the Chief Procurement Officer until 3:00 PM, August 14, 2025 at the Department of Public Works Office at 1000 Suffield Street, Agawam, MA 01001, within the Conference Room where said bids shall be opened and publicly read aloud.
Each general bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, cash, or a certified check or a treasurer’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company having offices in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The proposal guarantee shall be in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid made payable to the Town of Agawam.
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference for all contractors shall be held at 9:00AM on Tuesday August 5, 2025 at the site, Still Brook Park, 100 Pine Street Feeding Hills, MA 01030. Please assemble at the pavilion.
Bids shall be made on the basis of the Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, Pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive of Massachusetts General Laws, a copy of which is attached to and is made a part of the Contract.
Bidders’ selection procedures and contract award shall be in conformity with applicable statues of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. A 50% Payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder. Attorney-in-fact who signs Bid Bonds or Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds must file with the each Bond a certified and effective dated copy of their power of attorney.
The Town will award the contract to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder as set forth in section III. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids as determined to be in the best interests of the Town and to waive minor informalities.
