APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
III Armored Corps (Fort Hood, TX) is seeking to leverage an independent, specialized advisory and consulting service to conduct a program evaluation of its suicide prevention and postvention initiatives. Building upon established programs, this continuous improvement effort will review existing processes, procedures, and education related to suicide prevention and postvention in order to recommend improvements, streamline efforts, and increase program effectiveness across all echelons. The contractor will execute a comprehensive assessment of institutional workflows, operational reporting mechanisms, and leadership synchronization from company through corps headquarters, evaluating how policies and support structures are operationalized across commands. Additionally, the contractor will assess current educational frameworks and postvention protocols, providing recommendations as required to enhance Soldier intervention capabilities, streamline harmful behavior intervention pathways, and support unit cohesion following critical events. Findings and actionable recommendations will be delivered through structured baseline evaluations, periodic progress reviews, and an executive roadmap for sustained program optimization. Direct medical, behavioral health, and psychiatric healthcare services remain strictly outside the scope of this assessment.
