Sources Sought: Liner Taffeta, Marine Corps All Weather Coat
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support (DLATS), Clothing & Textiles (C&T), is conducting market research to identify potential sources for Liner Taffeta used in the Marine Corps All Weather Coat. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals. This Sources Sought notice aims to determine industry capabilities (domestic and non-domestic) for manufacturing this fabric, including production capacity, limitations, and challenges.
Preference is given to domestic sources using domestic components and manufacturing (DFARS 252.225-7002-2(c)). However, non-domestic manufacturing will be considered. All potential sources must be U.S.-based companies. Only for items listed in this notice, import of non-domestic cloth is allowed, requiring use of Marine Corps All Weather Coat components to supply Liner Taffeta that meets exact specification requirements and approved shades. This non-domestic cloth will be sold to the Government as Government
Furnished Material for dress end item manufacturing.
Further market research may occur before any solicitation. The Government will not reimburse the information provided. This Sources Sought is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a commitment. Proprietary information will be protected if marked accordingly. Vendor participation does not guarantee future business.
