Description: The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), on behalf of the School-Based Mental Health Initiatives (SBMHI) Unit, is seeking proposals from organizations experienced in and capable of providing mental health services and supports to students. The objective is to ensure high-quality implementation of, and access to, onsite mental health services as defined by the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) three tiers of service. The goal is to provide support to schools, networks, and the NYCDOE as needed and appropriate, in order to ensure effective implementation and access to the three (3) tiers of service.
This is a Full Value contract and is intended to cover, during the period of the contract, the needs for Prevention Intervention Program: Mental Health Services for High-Need Schools. Detailed service descriptions and requirements are provided in the Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation.
This Proposal will be evaluated by a three or five-member evaluation committee. The evaluation committee's size will depend on the number of responses received and the DOE's best interest.
The committee will use the criteria listed on the RFP to evaluate each vendor (proposal). These services are being contracted out because the DOE does not have the resources or in-house expertise to provide the various inspection
