North Shore Roadway Network Resilience Study

Brief Description: MnDOT requests letters of interest for leading a study to evaluate the roadway network along the Trunk Highway (TH) 61 corridor in Northeast Minnesota in Lake and Cook Counties. This study will evaluate the resilience of the network if a climate hazard causes TH 61 to become compromised requiring the use of alternative routes on the County, City, Township and Forestry roads to keep communities and shipping commerce open. The successful responder will be expected to work with the State and other partners that are listed in Exhibit A, Scope of Work. The goal of this project is to evaluate and analyze existing and projected conditions along the TH 61 corridor, provide recommendations for areas of concern that need improvement and recommend routes for detours if climate hazards compromise TH 61.
