Synopsis:
|
|
WSA is planning to enter a multi-year agreement to pump water from the South Saskatchewan River to supplement low water levels in Pike Lake on an as-needed basis. The pumping season is expected to occur from May to September but may be shorter or not required at WSA’s discretion. The intention is to hire a contractor to supply, install and manage a temporary pumping system in the South Saskatchewan River located at NE-35-33-6-W3.

WSA is a Treasury Board Crown corporation within the meaning of The Crown Corporations Act, 1993 (Saskatchewan) that is governed by The Water Security Agency Act (Saskatchewan). WSA is responsible for water management in the Province of Saskatchewan, which includes managing the Province’s water supply, protecting water quality, ensuring safe drinking water and the treatment of wastewater, reducing flood and drought damage, protecting aquatic habitat, and managing dams and related supply channels.
