Construction of the Liberty Street Sewer Repair

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Crystal Springs, Mississippi, will receive written sealed bids until
the hour of 2:00 pm local time on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the office of the City of Crystal Springs
located at 210 E. Railroad Ave., Crystal Springs, MS 39059 for the furnishing of all labor and materials,
and for performing all activities specified in the Contract Documents, for the construction of the Liberty
Street Sewer Repair.
The project includes: Replace existing failing sewer line on Liberty Street in Crystal Springs through
either dig and replace or pipe bursting. The Contract Time will be Forty-Five (45) consecutive calendar
days, and the liquidated damages will be $250 per consecutive calendar day thereafter.
Plans, contract documents and proposal forms are on file for public inspection in the office of the
City of Crystal Springs, 210 E. Railroad Ave., Crystal Springs, MS 39056, and in the office of the Engineer,
WGK, Inc., 204 W. Leake St., Clinton, MS 39056 (601-925-4444). All documents required for bidding
purposes, including specifications and plans, may be viewed for free at www.wgkengineersprojects.com.
Documents may be downloaded for a non-refundable charge of $75. Hard Copies are also available for

Bids for this work will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom the Contract
Documents and Addenda, if any, have been issued by the Engineer. Bids received by bidders to whom
the Contract Documents were not issued by the Engineer will be returned unopened.
State law requires a non-resident bidder to attach/include a copy of his resident state's current
law pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident contractors with their bid. Any bid submitted by
a non-resident contractor which does not include the non-resident contractor's current state law shall be
rejected and not considered for award.
All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the hour of 2:00 pm local time on Thursday, April
2, 2026, at the office of the City of Crystal Springs located at 210 E. Railroad Ave., Crystal Springs, MS
39059. Bids will be considered by the City of Crystal Springs at or before the next regular meeting thereof
to be held within thirty (30) days of the date of receipt of bids.
The City of Crystal Springs reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in the bidding and to
reject any and all bids.
