FEMA and California OES Assistance

The City of Malibu, Public Works Department (City) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide special assistance and management related to emergency management, preparedness, securing and management of grants and other funding, disaster recovery needs, and assistance with FEMA and CalOES recovery efforts . The City intends to award a contract to a consultant to provide the requested services for a three-year term with two (2) one (1) year optional extensions to be exercised at the sole discretion of the City. The Department seeks to retain qualified firms for the purpose of providing these services for the City’s various FEMA and CalOES related funding and management tasks related to all recovery efforts. All services shall be performed on an as needed basis and separate task orders will be issued for each specific need.

Qualified and responsible respondent firms interested in submitting a proposal should successfully demonstrate:

A. Significant time and experience in working with local public works agencies to manage and perform various administrative and technical tasks related to the FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.

B. Significant time and experience in working with local public works agencies related to CalOES Hazardous Mitigation Grant Program and other recovery funding programs.

C. Experience in developing long-term recovery strategies and funding opportunities for local agencies.
