Description: Site Visit: Tuesday 05/27/2025 @ 10am The site visit will provide an opportunity for Bidders to see firsthand the existing equipment, the tasks to be performed, and the special needs of the facility. Questions during the site visit will be permitted. Due to security restrictions, all Bidders must pre-register for the site visit by Jameson Parker at 518-410-1711 or you can email Jameson.Parker@doccs.ny.gov by Friday 05/23/2025 @ 3pm Scope of Work: Contractor will remove and replace: Field house boiler, nearby pipes, condensate tank and nearby traps, and water heater. Weil-McClain Boiler is preferred.40-gallon electric water heater is required. Contractor Responsibilities Services shall be provided during normal business hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday as well as a mutually agreed upon time as needed. A copy of required licenses shall be maintained by the Contractor and provided upon request to DOCCS. Contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, insurance, training and personnel to provide the identified location with the service. Services performed on-site by the Contractor’s employee shall be rendered in accordance with these additional requirements as determined by the Training Academy:
Any individual hired by the Contractor to work in the facilities, by virtue of accepting his/her assignment, must abide by all the policies, rules and regulations of the Department. Furthermore, DOCCS reserves the right to reject any Contractor or contractor’s staff, for any reason, throughout the term of the contract. DOCCS will request the replacement staff member or members be of equal or greater qualifications. The Contractor shall be responsible for verifying, through the appropriate licensing boards, that no adverse actions have been taken by the State licensing authorities, against any personnel assigned to the assigned Training Academy, and that all licenses are active and void of misconduct. NYS DOCCS, at its discretion, reserves the right to verify the current status of personnel assigned. If performance of any personnel is not satisfactory the DOCCS will give written notice of performance issues to the Contractor, clearly describing the problem and delineating remediation requirement(s). The Contractor shall respond with a written remediation plan within three (3) business days and implement the plan immediately upon written acceptance by the DOCCS. If performance issues persist, the DOCCS will request the immediate removal of the person(s) whose performance is at issue and the Contractor will send another person(s) after prior approval of DOCCS. Each person who is an employee of the Contractor or subcontractor shall display his or her company ID badge at all times while on DOCCS premises. Upon request of authorized DOCCS personnel, each such employee shall provide additional photo identification. Contractor’s personnel shall cooperate with DOCCS requirements that include but are not limited to being prepared to be escorted at all times, providing information for badge issuance, and wearing the badge in a visible location at all times.
