IFB - Otterbrook Road (Horseshoe Lake Wild Forest) Road Rehabilitation 2025

The Division is pursuing this IFB in partnership with State land forestry staff in Region 6 Potsdam – Currently the road has deteriorated due to increased traffic and lack of annual maintenance. It requires rehabilitation if it is to remain open to the public.

The scope of work consists of shoulder/ditch rehabilitation on approx. 4,000 feet of gravel road and removing unsuitable road surface material from ditching to an abandoned gravel pit on the Upper Dam Road. Contractor shall purchase and deliver 21 tons 4” minus and 21 tons 1 ½ minus crushed stone to Upper Dam Road (Five Ponds Wilderness), which shall be spread as necessary to provide heavy machinery to access the abandoned gravel pit.

Proposers shall adhere to the NYS DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION GUIDELINES REGARDING PERMISSIBLE CONTACTS DURING A PROCUREMENT AND THE PROHIBITION OF INAPPROPRIATE LOBBYING INFLUENCE.
