The requirement is to provide PIMC with services to verify the hospital’s current ACM inventory is accurate through tile and mastic sampling and ensure all ACM are maintained in good condition by visual and physical assessment.



All technicians performing tests, inspections, and repairs shall meet the qualification requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) asbestos standard and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). Inspectors, supervisors, and workers shall be certified by an EPA AHERA accredited program. ACM samples shall be analyzed by an asbestos accredited laboratory under the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP).
