Correct Deficiencies Identified During Triennial Testing
January 23, 2025
Purpose of Project:
The VA St. Louis Health Care System, Jefferson Barracks Division, will correct various electrical deficiencies in buildings 18, 51, and 53, and outside buildings 18, and 53.
Statement of Work:
The Construction firm must provide construction services as delineated in the Plans and Specifications. This project will correct deficiencies with some VA electrical equipment. New equipment shall have all the required working clearances, according to current electrical codes.
Building 18: Remove and replace outside 300kVA transformer T18-A, construct cast-in-place reinforced concrete pad, per plans and specifications, and manufacturer s recommendations.
Building 51:
Remove and replace Panels MDP-51A in Basement Mechanical Room BA101, construct cast-in-place reinforced concrete housekeeping pad, per plans and specifications, and manufacturer s recommendations.
Remove and replace Panels MSB-51A in Basement Mechanical Room BA100, construct cast-in-place reinforced concrete housekeeping pad, per plans and specifications, and manufacturer s recommendations.
Remove ATS-51A from Basement Mechanical Room BA101, and move to Basement Mechanical Room BA100, in Basement Mechanical area, construct cast-in-place reinforced concrete housekeeping pad, per plans and specifications, and manufacturer s recommendations.
Building 53: Remove and replace outside 750kVA transformer, construct cast-in-place reinforced concrete pad, per plans and specifications, and manufacturer s recommendations.
At the beginning of the project, the Contractor will create a Gantt chart or similar spreadsheet to indicate project phasing and supply it to the COR. The contractor shall be responsible for updating the spreadsheet as the project progresses.
All work shall comply with the VA TIL specifications.
All Contractor personnel shall wear the proper safety equipment required by all applicable VA Safety regulations and OSHA to accomplish this type of work.
All work shall comply with all VA health care provisions, such as ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) provisions, ILSM, and all applicable State, National, and U.S. Federal Codes.
For all items removed by this Statement of Work, the Contractor shall be responsible for the safe and legal disposal or recycle of all items listed. The Contractor will have signed paperwork from the disposal site or recycle center indicating all removed items are disposed of properly and in accordance with all applicable State and Federal Codes and Laws.
All outside equipment installed through this project shall adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC) Outdoors section 10.26(F)(2).
