This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI). This announcement seeks information from industry and will only be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS RFI. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The Government will not pay for any response expenses.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Jacksonville District, is conducting market research for the anticipated maintenance dredging of the Cedar Island Keaton Beach Federal Navigation Project located in Taylor County, Florida. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for the purpose of gathering information from the industry regarding potential means and methods for dredging, dewatering, and rehandling dredged material for off-site disposal.
The information received from this RFI will be used for preliminary planning purposes and to assist in the development of an appropriate acquisition strategy.

The Government is seeking input from industry related to prospective means and methods that could be used for this project, specifically concerning the dewatering and rehandling of dredged material. Interested parties are requested to provide the following information:

All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary. The information provided will be used solely by USACE to assess the market's capability and to assist in the determination of an appropriate acquisition strategy. All responses will be treated as information only. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
The official Synopsis citing the solicitation will be issued on SAM.GOV and inviting firms to register electronically to receive a copy of the solicitation when it is issued. All interested firms must be registered in SAM.gov to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
