Description:

Existing fiber utilities to be relocated as a result of five (5) crossings required to be upgraded to fish passage criteria.  Qin fiber shall be operational during Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project.  It is anticipated while splicing occurs short term outages will occur.  The contractor shall perform splicing and attachments in an efficient manner and outages shall be less than 12 hours during splicing operations Phase 1 consists of locating QIN fiber along Highway 109, installing vaults, splicing fiber, temporary ground lay fiber and connectivity to allow a fully operational system.  Phase 2 consists of removal of temporary ground lay conduit and fiber.  Connecting fiber to  newly placed poles and aerial attachment to achieve a fully functional fiber path.  Splicing shall result in no-loss connectivity for both Phase 1 and Phase 2.
