Project Description: Hillsborough County Engineering and Operations Department requires a qualified Contractor to replace the fender system (including the fender pile installation) on a 98-year-old bascule bridge. The scope includes temporary traffic control for the walkway, roadway and waterway; utilities location verification; existing bascule bridge operation; furnish & install temporary electrical power system; remove & re-install navigation lights; furnish & install clearance gauge; removal of existing fender system and existing fender piles; design of the new fender piles; phased removal of existing fender system and construction of new fender system including fender piles to protect the existing structure including the bascule pier at all times. The Contractor must be Prequalified by Florida Department of Transportation in at least one of the following work classes: (1) Bascule Bridge Rehabilitation, (2) R&R Intermediate Bridges, or (3) Fender Systems estimated at $5,294,402.08.
DM/DWBE Goal: In connection with this solicitation and its resulting Contract, a goal of 0% has been established for participation by DM/DWBEs as Subcontractors.
