Summary

The City of Manhattan Beach is implementing the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project 602745-24 Cycle 4 ADA Curb Ramp Project (CDBG Cycle 4 Curb Ramp) which provides improvements to site-specific curb ramps in order to comply with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and meet the latest Federal Standards. This is a federally-assisted construction project as such Federal Labor Standards Provisions including prevailing wage requirements of the Davis-Bacon and Related (DBRA) will be enforced.

The CDBG Cycle 4 Curb Ramp project will install new site-specific ADA compliant curb ramps to improve paths of travel. The improvements include the removal of existing non-standard curb ramps and the construction of new ADA compliant curb ramps with yellow truncated domes. Additional work consists of installation of hot-mix-asphalt slot paving, sidewalk, curb/gutter, cross gutter, and crosswalk upgrades (slurry with new striping). Re-establishment of monuments for centerline- tie-related nails, tags, and tie-outs upon completion of construction.

The City of Manhattan Beach (“City”) invites sealed proposals on the project described herein to be submitted via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov. Bids will be received until 10:00 am on Thursday, February 19, 2026 .

Estimated Bid Value (Base + Alt 1 + Alt 2): $176,000

Bid Valid: 90 days

Liquidated Damages: $500/day

Start/Delivery Date: Late March 2026 - April 2026.

Project Duration: 30 Working Days (10 preconstruction + 20 construction)

License Requirements: Class A
