Source selection will be based on Lowest Price and Technically Acceptable Method (LPTA).





Technical evaluation criteria are as follows:




  1. LCLS Pulse fiber timing system (PFTS) is from Cycle lasers. We have already ~ 10 pcs of the TCBOC from Cycle. New TCBOC must be match the existing TCBOCs in form, fit, function, and performance; with in-line partial reflector for links synchronization locking. Item must be compatible to Cycle LCLS PFTS.

  2. Two-color Balanced Optical Cross-Correlator (TCBOC), to detect the timing jitter between a 1030-nm pulse train with a 1550-nm pulse train Detector specifications: Residual jitter: 5 mV/fs (main balanced output with 1 MΩ load impedance)Detector noise floor: 100 kHz (3-dB signal bandwidth) Free space input at 1030nm FC/APC PMF fiber input at 1550nmLead time of no more than 7 months.

  3. Interface and power supply and amplifier gain tunability: 110VAC low noise power adaptor; Minimum monitors: TCBOC error, Forward SFG signal, Backward SFG signal; amplifier gain tunability 10^3 to 10^ 7.

  • The resulting purchase order will be issued on a fixed price basis. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory Terms and Conditions for Fixed Price Commercial Supplies and Services (Rev. August 2023) will be made a part of the resulting order.

  • Payment Terms will be NET-30 (SLAC is unable to make advance payments and or Prepayments).

  • Freight terms will be FOB Destination Prepaid and Add

  • Foreign Vendors Shipments will be made CIP SLAC, Menlo Park, and Duty Unpaid.
