Treatment Chemical Bids

Re: Invitation to Bid -- Chemicals for Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities

Dear Vendor:

The City of McMinnville will receive sealed bids for the following chemicals for its Water and Wastewater Treatment facilities for the twelve-month period beginning from the date of the bid award. All quotes are to be F.O.B. and remain firm to our dock in McMinnville. shall include freight. Delivery location designated per purchase order. Lift gate required on chemicals being delivered. Quantities are approximate. Bids must be received in the Office of the City Recorder by 2:00 p.m., May 5th, 2026, clearly marked “2026 - 2027 Chemical ." The following volume(s) are approximate.

Bids shall be per the designated units ($/unit) or the item Bid will be rejected.

1. 50,000 gallons Sodium Hypochlorite, 12.5% weight/volume. Approximately 4200 gallons each per delivery or as directed by purchase order from the Supervisors of the Water and Wastewater Plants. 12 (twelve) tanker loads per year. ($/Gal)

2. 1,200 - 1,500 gallons of HFS (Hydrofluosilicic Acid). Pumped with your transfer pump to a 225-gallon tote. 200 gallons per delivery or as directed by a purchase order from the Supervisor of the Water Plant. ($/lb)

3. 1,000 gallons. Poly-Orthophosphate 50/50 blend. All bid products must be based on 50% polyphosphate and 50% orthophosphate. All bid products shall be required to have a minimum concentration of 35%. 400 gallons pumped with your transfer pump to our 500 gallon existing tank. Technical support must be available upon request. On-site technical assistance must be available within 48 hours. Product must be manufactured in the United States and have NSF approval. ($/lb)

4. 12,000 lbs. Sulfur Dioxide in 150-lb. cylinders. To be delivered as directed by a purchase order from the Supervisor of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. ($/lb)

5. 4 totes of Liquid Copper Sulfate (Chelated), unloaded from your liftgate into our building. ($/Gal)

Bids will be awarded based on lowest and/or best bid by item or as a whole. The city reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
