Abstract
The Adapted Physical Education Assessment Grant will award competitive sub-grants to local education agencies (LEAs) design a state-wide system of assessment for children who required specially designed instruction within physical education as a part of their general education programming. Funds should be used to support educators of physical education in the creation, implementation and refinement of a statewide assessment aligned to the physical education standards. The proposed model should be embedded as a part of the district's comprehensive assessment system and serve as a mechanism to offer a continuum of physical education services and supports as in accordance with state and federal regulations.
