Title: Video Surveillance System (VSS) Upgrades & Installations
Description:
This is a sources sought notice only, not a solicitation announcement. This is NOT a request for proposals or quotes and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The Drug Enforcement Administration, Office of Security Programs/Physical Security Section/Risk Mitigation and Compliance Unit is conducting market research to upgrade/replace the video surveillance system that is currently installed at the New York Field Division. The currently installed Video Surveillance System has reached End-of-Life (EOL) and is not hosted on the enterprise Video Management System referred to as Castle. The Castle System consists of video surveillance and access control and is used as a common operating picture that provides real time monitoring.
It has been determined that an estimated 173 cameras have to be upgraded/replaced along with associated hardware, cabling and installation services to bring the system to compliance. The required brand of cameras for this requirement is HANWHA or equivalent. This requirement will include the removal of current equipment, new equipment installation, system compliance and assurance of a fully functional system upon completion.
The purpose of this notice is to obtain interest and capability statements based on the requirements of the DRAFT SOW attached with this notice. Vendors are requested to submit a brief capabilities statement (2-3 pages) indicating experience and capability to meet the DEA’s VSS Upgrade & Installation requirements. Vendors are encouraged to provide ample information to assist the DEA with making a capability determination.
Due to the size and complexity of this requirement, it is anticipated that the DEA will host an industry day for prospective vendors based on the capabilities statements submitted in response to this notice. In your response to this notice, please indicate if you would attend an industry day to view the project site. Once statements are received and reviewed, information pertaining to the industry will be shared.
