Northern Wasco County PUD invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for rebuilding Highway 216 Conroy Rd. distribution line. The project involves replacing the existing power line that runs from Highway 216 at Whiteriver State Park to the end point of the distribution line running to the east and northeast.  Consisting of 80 pole sets and approximate 37,442’ of conductor.

The work associated with the Project is located in or near the towns of The Dalles, Dufur, and Tygh Valley within Wasco County, Oregon.

The Scope of Work may include, but is not limited to:

Rebuilding the existing Conroy Road line utilizing District-provided ductile iron poles and materials. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary equipment and labor to complete the work.

The Highway 216 – Conroy Road Line Rebuild Project will primarily be constructed while the line remains energized. All tie-ins to the existing distribution system and customer services will require work on energized lines. If the Contractor determines an outage is necessary to perform any tie-in work, coordination with the District is required in advance. The Contractor shall make every effort to minimize service interruptions. All affected customers must be notified at least one day prior to any scheduled outage. Any phase conductors not essential to maintain service may be de-energized, provided they are left in a condition that allows for re-energization in the event of an emergency.
