AFSVC Internet Circuit

The 502d Contracting Squadron, 395 B Street West Suite 2, Joint Base San Antonio-TX 78150, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract to Lumen Technologies. This is a Sole Source synopsis published for informational purposes only. The action will be executed under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with the guidance in FAR 13.501.

This proposed procurement will be a Sole Source under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 517111 – Wired Telecommunications Carriers. Business size standard for NAICS 517111 is 1500 employees.

The mission requires an Internet circuit for each site: Lackland AFB (LAK) and Randolph AFB (RND). In addition, there is a requirement for a point-to-point data circuit between the two sites for data replication and network extension.

For the 2 Internet Circuits, the contractor shall provide a Minimum Bandwidth of:

100 Mbps at LAK

100 Mbps at RND

Period of performance: 24 October 2024 through 21 February 2025

The proposed action is for the required service which the Government intends to solicit from one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive quotes nor a solicitation for offers. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
