2027-2028 Neighborhood & Community Services Notice of Funding Availability

The City of Tacoma's Neighborhood & Community Services (NCS) Department anticipates
releasing an application for funding for 2027-2028 contracts on May 6, 2026. Applications will
close on June 9, 2026.
The application and all related documents will be posted on the City's Services Solicitations page.
This competitive funding process will be accepting applications for programs that align with City
Council Goals, the Neighborhood and Community Services Issue Statement and the below service
areas, which are subject to funding availability and City Council approval:
* Building Resilience Against Youth Violence & Exploitation (BRAYVE)
* Community Violence Response
* Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence Prevention
* Equitable Food Access
* Health & Health Care: Behavioral Health Services
* Housing
* Sheltering
* Stability Site Operator
* Inclement Weather Response
NCS plans to make up to approximately $18.5 million available for awarding in this competitive
process from multiple funding sources. Program eligibility may vary between funding sources. If
you have program(s) that address these priorities, please consider applying!
Please note: Funding amounts and recommendations are subject to Council approval of the 27-28
biennial budget and are subject to change.
We will provide technical assistance trainings on May 7th, May 20th, and May 26th for interested
applicants. Trainings will include information on timeline, what is needed/how to apply for funding,
application and scoring overview, what is needed to contract with the City, as well as time for
questions. The training details are below; please mark your calendar to attend a technical
assistance training for NCS' 2027-2028 Competitive Funding Process.
