NOTICE OFPUBLIC HEARING

FY2024 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT

The City of Tifton will hold a Public Hearing on November 15, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in the City of Tifton’s Council Chambers located at 130 E. First Street, Tifton, Georgia 31794 for the purpose of discussing the approved activities of the City’s FY2024 Community Development Block Grant Program.  The City of Tifton has been awarded a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $790,945 to perform the following:

Housing improvements on S. College Circle and S. College Avenue in Tifton, Georgia. Items to be discussed include:

1.         The amount of funds received and a description of each activity;

2.         The amount of funds available for each activity and the amount of funds that will benefit low and moderate income persons.

3.         The plan, if applicable, to minimize the displacement of persons and the plan to assist the people who may be displaced;

4.         Fair Housing Laws, and the City’s Plan, if applicable, to further Fair Housing;

5.         Any potential conflict of interest within the target area.
