Title: Playground Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF) Materials & Installation Services
Scope of Work/Services:
Washoe County School District (WCSD) is soliciting formal bid submissions from experienced Vendors to provide engineered wood fiber (EWF) materials (chips/mulch) for playground surfacing and related installation services for Districtwide use. The EWF materials must meet ASTM F1292: Impact Attenuation of Playground Surfaces, which is a standard specification for impact attenuation of surfacing materials within playground areas.
Services shall include the materials, furnishing of all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and the performance of all operations required to complete the project and shall include the cleanup and removal from the project location of all debris resulting from the services performed. It shall be the awarded Vendor’s (interchangeably “Contractor”) responsibility to take all necessary safety precautions and to furnish barricades and/or other safety measures as required to perform the services.
All work must be coordinated and scheduled in advance with WCSD’s Facilities Management Department that will further coordinate with individual school sites. A written schedule is to be provided no less than one (1) week in advance of any scheduled work. WCSD reserves the right to change the Contractor’s schedule if necessary. The Contractor agrees to yield to WCSD school traffic, including bus traffic, at all times.
