Location of Work:
Powles Head Light Station, south eastern coast of the Avalon Peninsula of NL (46°44.2′N 53°21.80′W)
Background Statement:
The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) requires roof and siding replacement at Powles Head Light Station, Trepassey, NL.
Scope of Work:
This requirement is to replace the roof and siding at the office building in Powles Head, Trepassey,
NL.
The scope of work will include:
a) the removal and replacement of the roof components (shingles and torch on) and;
b) the removal and replacement of the siding to install blue skin vapor barrier to ensure that the proper transition is in place between the building and the light towers roof.
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work sixteen (16) weeks after the contract award date.
This is a first phase (Phase one) of a two-phase competition: the first phase will pre-qualify bidders based on mandatory requirements as per the attached Request for Qualifications; second phase (Phase two) will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. The list of pre-qualified bidders resulting from Phase One will be valid for a period of 60 days upon notification of meeting the mandatory requirements or upon award of contract in Phase Two whichever comes first.
