at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning January 26, 2026, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the Citys website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Chapter 30B and other applicable procurement statutes.
The City of Springfield is seeking bids from qualified vendors to enter into a service agreement for on-call, as-needed, removal of existing window treatments and then furnish and install new roller shades/blinds and most other window treatments for windows located at various School and Municipal buildings located throughout the City of Springfield, MA.
The City intends to award up to Two (2) potential contracts to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The estimated value of the contract(s) shall not exceed $350,000.00 per year. The initial term of this contract will be for One (1) year, but will include Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the Citys sole discretion.
All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement by February 3, 2026 at 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
