Addenda: 0
Release Date: 2/11/2025
Due Date: 3/11/2025
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) is seeking proposals from qualified Provider(s) to perform physical and cognitive functional assessments for individuals using and applying for JTA’s paratransit service – JTA Connexion. The Provider(s) selected will provide assessments for new applicants, as well as those whose eligibility will expire during the duration of the contract. JTA anticipates approximately 20-40 hours of services per week but does not guarantee that there will be 2,000 hours per year. The JTA reserves the right to award to more than one Provider based on results of the evaluation phase.
Connexion is a door-to-door, ride sharing service for people with disabilities and transportation disadvantaged. JTA is the Community Transportation Coordinator (CTC) for Duval County Florida.
Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), transit agencies are required to make their transit systems accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities, and to provide complementary transportation (paratransit) to individuals who are unable to use standard transit (fixed route bus and skyway) service for some or all of their mobility needs. Paratransit service is designed solely to be a safety net for those individuals who cannot use regular fixed route service. The evaluations are designed to identify those individuals who can use regular fixed route service for some, or all of their transportation needs and those who require paratransit service.
