Public Health Medical and Hospital Liaison Services

The County of Orange (County) Health Care Agency (HCA) is seeking applications from qualified organizations to provide Public Health Medical and Hospital Liaison Services. The primary goal of this program is to provide Primary Medical Care and Hospital Liaison Services.

The primary goals of the program are to:

• Provide HIV primary medical care physician services at local public health department.
• Provide outpatient specialty medical services to Orange County residents whose medical needs are beyond the scope of services available in the Health Care Agency’s outpatient medical clinics (HIV/TB Clinic) for patient who do not have other sources of payment.
• The hospital(s) that contract with the County will provide inpatient* and outpatient services to public health patients needing medical care, including those with a confirmed or suspected communicable disease, such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and tuberculosis (TB).
• Provide hospital liaison services for coordination of care for public health patients.
  *Only TB patients are eligible for inpatient services.
