INVITATION TO BID
BIDS for the construction of The Village Crosswalk Replacement Project in the
City of Holladay, will be received by email at jbunch@holladayUT.gov until 3:00 P.M.
on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Bidders are required to submit a completed Bid Form.
Substantial and Final completion to occur on or before Aug 30, 2026.
Bids shall be evaluated based on lowest bid amount.

Bonding for this project is not required. A contractor’s license and insurance is required.
Contractor will be required to obtain a no fee Right-of-Way Occupancy Permit from the
City of Holladay.
The successful contractor will be required to enter into an agreement using the EJCDC
Contract for Construction of a Small Project template.
The City of Holladay reserves the right: to reject any and all Bids; to waive minor
informalities in the Bid Schedule and elsewhere so long as the informalities do not affect
the Contract Documents or render the bid non-compliant with Laws and Regulation
pertaining to bidding requirements; to negotiate and agree to contract terms with the
successful Bidder; and to disregard non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or
conditional Bids.
SCOPE OF WORK
Pavers will be purchased directly by the city and supplied to the contractor at the City’s
public works shop located at 2200 E Murray Holladay Road. Pavers will be stacked on
pallets. Transport of the pavers to the site is incidental to the work and will not be paid
separately. Pavers are:

Pavers are in the city’s possession.
Work to include:
1. Traffic control.
2. Demo and disposal of existing pavers and sand.
3. Supply and installation of geotextile.
4. Supply and installation of bedding sand.
5. Installation of new pavers.
6. Supply and installation of polymeric sand between paver joints.
Work to be constructed in accordance to construction details and APWA Utah Chapter,
current edition.
Traffic control: Roads may be closed, one leg at a time. Each leg closure may not
exceed three days. Detours are to be provided, and local businesses are to be notified
between 48 and 60 hours in advance. MUTCD traffic control standards to apply.
Submittals of materials to be submitted to the engineer for approval prior to use.
Concrete repairs to underlying slab may be required. Contractor to notify engineer for
inspection of the slab prior to covering with a geotextile. The city reserves the right to
hire a concrete specialist to repair the concrete.
Bids shall include all costs for labor, equipment, materials, and tipping fees.
