Airfield Maintenance Building Door Installation & Column Removal

The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) has issued this Invitation to Bid (ITB) with the sole purpose and intent of obtaining sealed bids (Bid) from qualified contractors (Contractor) to install a roll-up door and remove an interior column in an existing Airfield Maintenance building at Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO).

If awarded, a contract (Contract) will be effective on the date the Contract is approved by the RTAA Board of Trustees, signed by all required parties, and filed with the Director of Contracts & Procurement.  However, the RTAA reserves the right to not award a Contract for any work herein; issuance of this ITB does not guarantee any subsequent award.  Furthermore, the RTAA reserves the right to hire any additional contractors or consultants, as needed, at its discretion.

It is the intent of the RTAA to select a qualified Contractor licensed to work in the State of Nevada to install a new, larger roll-up door which will provide exterior access to a secured parking lot in an existing Airfield Maintenance building at Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), remove an existing interior column, and replace with a new beam allowing occupants to drive through the building, and to provide all material, labor, tools, expendable equipment, transportation services, permits and fees, utilities required, and all incidental items necessary to provide the Scope of Work entitled "Airfield Maintenance Building Door Installation & Column Removal" per the specifications, drawings, plans, and reports provided herein as Attachment D - Special Conditions , Attachment E - Plans , and Attachment F - Asbestos Report subject to all terms and conditions contained in this ITB.

Funding for this Project has been approved.  The Engineer's Estimate range for the Project is $200,000.00 to $300,000.00 and will be funded by the RTAA's general fund, not by Federal grants.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, commencing promptly at 1:00 PM [PST], at 1670 National Guard Way, Reno, NV 89502 (parking lot East of the Free Cellphone Waiting Lot).  A project site tour will take place at the end of the meeting.

Bidders are required to submit one (1) ORIGINAL hard copy of their Bid and one (1) electronic copy on a flash drive.  Bidders should ensure that the thumb drive is not corrupted, or password protected, and contains the entire ITB response.  All documents required to be submitted shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope or package marked "ITB #24/25-06 Airfield Maintenance Building Door Installation & Column Removal" followed by the name and address of the Bidder and the due date and time for receiving ITB responses.  Mailed Bids shall be enclosed within another envelope with the notation "BID ENCLOSED" on the face of the outside envelope.

Late Bids will not be accepted and will be automatically disqualified from further consideration.  No Bid, whether mailed or hand delivered, shall be considered if it has not been received at the RTAA Contracts & Procurement Department, 2770 Vassar Street, Reno, NV, on or before the Bid submittal deadline.  Postmarks do not qualify as delivery.  The clock at the Procurement office is the RTAA's official clock; timeliness of Bids will be determined using only this clock.  Contractors assume full responsibility for timely delivery of its Bid at the specified location.  Contractors assume the risk for the method of delivery chosen.  The RTAA assumes no responsibility for delays caused by any delivery service.  Oral, telephonic, faxed, emailed Bids, or Bids submitted via NGEM are invalid and will not receive consideration.

All Prospective Bidders are responsible for continually monitoring NGEM to ensure receipt of any Addenda associated with this Bid.
