Project Description: Sealed proposals will be received by the Lower Saucon Authority, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, for furnishing: 900’ of 8” Ductile Iron Water Pipe, assorted valves and other water main fittings for the Merryweather Dr. main project.
All bids must be submitted via PennBid, to include forms furnished by the Authority. Proposal forms and specifications for bidding are available at no cost on PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) Sealed bid proposals will be accepted up to 11:00 AM on Monday February 17, 2025 and shall be opened and publicly read at 3:00 PM in the Authority office. Bids will be considered at the Authority Board meeting.
A ten (10%) percent bid bond, cash, cashier’s check, or certified check is required with all bids.
The Lower Saucon Authority reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. The Lower Saucon Authority further reserves the right to either insist on or waive any portion of the specifications or accept or reject any bid which does not fully comply with each and every specification.
The successful bidder, unless the entire contract is fully performed before forty five (45) days after the contract has been awarded, shall furnish to the Lower Saucon Authority a performance bond, cash, cashier’s check, certified check, or surety acceptable to the Authority Solicitor, guaranteeing performance of the contract. Said bond or surety shall be in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the amount bid and shall be submitted within forty five (45) days after the contract has been awarded.
No bidder may withdraw their bid proposal within sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening.
